Since these subjects can't be touched, history and philosophy must also be avoided. Should we talk about the weather?

I say no to threads about politics or religion (people lose their heads) but come on... a little flexibility here.

Mods it's OK if you lock boring threads but don't... damn I was having fun reading the latest posts in the Moon Landing thread.

Weather? OK, how's this: Winter in Canada sucks this year. Actually, I should be happy, it's been between -10 and 0°C in the past week, and it seems more of the same is on the way for the next. IT's supposed to be around -20°C(-4°F) and a foot of snow on the ground in February. Our winter seems to have gone south...

like, to Virginia! (poor folks)

The weather?? "Down south here it was raining today.....but tomorrow I'd bet it will pop back up to the high seventies F'.

I actually kinda like the winter this year....

Just enough to know it's winter, and not enough to be a pain in the a**. Tonight was the worst drive to work I've had this season. It's nice to have the sick days saved up for the nice weather this summer 🙂

Some of the mods were a little sad to see the Moon Landing closed too...

The weather lady said last week... ave temp is x degrees, typical of June....

We need rain, and a good snowfall would encourage the Trillium to blossom when "spring" comes, but Crocus are out, daffodils not far brhind, leaves staring to pop out...

The last few were people grasping at straws trying to give merit to silly opinions based on even silly'er and inappropriate material for this forum.

I mean come on...

"I didn't say it was history. I said it was a book of record"

Can anyone say synonym...? 🙄

Again, I didn't say I was deeply interested, I said I was having fun.

Oh and someone pointed out that this is an audio forum, OK Sherlock Holmes but I think we're in the lounge because we had enough audio for today.

Yeah, the moon landing thread was closed just as I was about to post that there is a "pillar of flame" theory behind Tunguska type events that would explain the findings in the African desert (remelted sand, etc).

Interesting ......

As long as were on about the weather, how about all that AGW bulsh going to heck in a hand-basket?🙂

John

talk about religion ..................... 😛

Hi Scott

I thought it was lightning strikes that melted and fused sand into "glass" blobs in deserts.
Care to tell us about the "pillar of flame" theory?

Cheers - Godfrey
