I sit corrected. When it comes to questions about single malt, the correct response is "Yes Please". However, sometimes we prefer the Fifties Miles Davis, sometimes the Seventies.

Hated that album. Really and truly hated it. Saw Miles live around that time and realized that the musician was gone, leaving only an angry man (with a privileged background, millions of dollars, and huge public adulation) who wanted to make Important Statements. Never bothered with him again.

Sure glad to know I'm not the only one who has "issues" with Miles. I had begun to think he was beyond reproach in the music world.
I tried playing Luciano Berio in my car once. It actually frightened one of the passengers.😀
On another occasion my choice of music convinced someone his hifi was broken. "It's supposed to sound like that" just didn't cut it - we had to change the music (which was probably a good idea anyway).
Oh well, to each his own...

I always ask buffs who go on about "tunes" and "rhythm" what if the music has no tunes or rhythm to start with? I believe the Linn Sondek was able to supply these all on its own.

Hurray. I love all that goofy mid 20th century stuff. Bario, Boulez, Stockhausen, Ligeti, Hindemith, Davies, etc. Actually got to work with some of those cats back in the 80s (IRCAM & GRM). It was fun.

Beyond the fact that cabinets and loudspeakers are our religion , we have to cope with their limits and , as often has been said ,perfect (reproduced) sound can't (really) exist . Like humans ...perfection is not of this world.
Don't take me for the black crow (like Carlos said:what they love to hear ,distortions !! ) as I really enjoy playing music through the "mess" I make...🙂

I might be in trouble here - I run Quad ELS57s - no cabinet! Just been listening to a big Sibelius concert from Minnesota on Radio 3. Better not say it was divine....
