I see the amp has a switch mode power supply and these can be prone to failure.
Let's say they have some neuralgic points... the little auxiliary supply for the controller chip (C can dry out, R can go open), dead switching MOSFETs, blown rectifier diodes, not to mention dried-out secondary-side filter caps (although these will generally just make the supply unstable and unable to supply its full output, not keep it from working altogether).

A dead SMPS can have a fully charged filter capacitor - definitely discharge that before working on the supply in order to avoid being bitten.
