no news from me. the repairing guy said he is unable to get the IC so i will have to wait to get back the LCD. my ICU has also become a lot busier, so difficult to find time.
saw your snaps. i think they will look much better with proper screen. and i know how the mobile cam can worsen the actual picure quality.

I am very satisfied with the perfomance. Glad that i went with 10 inch LCD screen door efffect is minimal. Also 250 W bulb makes the difference.Looks as bright as commercial projectors. Also the reflector helps a lot.

congrats!

Hi Gitesh,

Great job !!!

So finally u got done with your projector, was waiting to see your results . After Atrisarkar complained about screen door probs with the 7" i decided to hold on before i got building mine...

Now, i can compare the results between the 7 inch and 10 inch screens, thanks for the snaps they look fantastic even though its taken by a mobile, i assume the projected image is much more better than these photographs 😀

Looking forward to more photos, keep em coming

Congrats and hope u have a great time watching the bigscreen 😉

projected image

Ya projected image is awesome.10inch really brings down the screen door. All my friends who have seen it told it is as good a a commercial projector. Some people who saw it were stunned to the core. They did not expect a home made projector give this result. Shalll post some 7.2 megapixel images soon.I may think of getting an even higher resolution display imported some time in the future. Week end 3 shows running 😀

What is the price of 10 inch lcd from Nishica model NM-1080

Hi Fibbrilator, What is the price of the 10 inch lcd from Nishica model NM-1080 lcd. Did you purchase online? I think www.nishicaindia.com does not accept orders online. How you purchased? How long it took for delivery? Please answer me. I had finished the box and done my projector with 15" Acer 1516 monitor without removing the antiglare. I've tried water soak for more than 14 hrs and the ag don't peel off. So I left it as such. After splitting the fresnel the brighness increased significantly.

So I've decided to finalise my testing and make adjustments for the panel in the mdf with my carpentor. At that time unknowingly the panels ffc got damaged inside. I see only many horizontal black lines and the monitor doesn't seem to work now.

I got terribly worried for about two days. Because my projection was about 95" width with good brightness. DVD playback was also good. But at last I've spoiled the lcd even though I had handled the lcd with due care. So I want to replace the acer monitor panel with the 10" lcd panel if it is SVGA 800x600 compliant which is more than enough for video playback/ home theatre use.
Thanks
