David has clarified the situation, & he's happy with what he has, for now 😉

This is not the first time.
If a configuration were to be pursued, it should include Multi-Core Xeon Processors and a RAID 1 or better array and at least 64MB of ECC memory. The purpose of such a configuration would be to develop and run FEM/BEM and Shape Optimization applications. More importantly would be provision of a development software upgrade and math/acoustics simulation library. I am sure David has a whish list that incudes such hardware and software. Prying it out of him, is of course, another matter. WHG

I picked up one of these used business computers for a dedicated ROON server. Used Gen 6- I7's are very capable machines and a bargain
