Great, Im really looking forward to receiving the modules.

Having to wait over a month still is just too much. ::bawling:

That's hardly worth to be called a wait.I have been waiting 9 months to receive the 700XEs and am now waiting to receive my money back..I am happily and trustfully looking forward to receive the NewClassD modules

Hi Anzgar,

Honestly the treatment /service you've received with them has been deplorable. Don't let them do this to you any longer. If you like, I'll get you the name of the man who owns it, you can contact him directly and give him a piece of your mind, and at least, follow up every day until do get your money back, or are they reverse engineering their checks now too?

Hi Chris,

I completely agree after following that long 700XE thread for months now. Its been a string of half service and broken promises.

There's obviously many happy LCAudio owners but I'd always be thinking will I end up like one of the few?

Hi,

I think the happier owners were Pre new ownership when Lars ran it. He's got an idea how to run a business and that's to keep people happy.

I have been informed that the new owner actually bought it as a "hobby" while he runs another pro audio business with his own class d amps, that apparently are said to be good, but hardly seem like anything special.

Obviously, he's got no time for this hobby of his, and I don't think that's ever made clear to their customers when they place an order for non existant components.

If I were Anzgar, I'd have been in a blind rage over this a loooong time ago.

Duck: Thanks for bringing about this link.

I am deliberately staying out of discussions about L C Audio products, also this one. But i will say that i have of course known all about this 'new' module, even before i started the development of my own NewClassD platform.

In a year we will all know if it survived on the DIY market or not.

And just for the record, to make sure everyone knows, i have absolutely nothing to do with this product, or any of it's support circuits.

That's exactly the problem with the way they seem to be operating.. taking DIYers for complete idiots.

They've "already installed over 3000" of them .. wow. Yet this would be the newly reverse engineered 700XE gone full bridge they've promised?

By the looks of it I'm a little surprised they didn't also split the drivers from the output stage and maybe another PCB for the filters as well, then they could have sold even more just so you can get it working, and the cost of each one will look even cheaper. Now where's my credit card.. 🙄

[edit: Lars you sure can't be blamed for wanting to distance yourself from this, re reading your post now it seems you've pretty well stated everything I did, just not in so many words🙂 ]

At least they need to learn to start being honest with their customers.

Sorry Lars, didn't want to intrude in your thread. Only the 700XE was mentioned a few posts above mine. The newclass D module look a lot more promising (but I'm not a electronics expert) than this 800.

Still it annoys me a bit the way the 700XE has been treated by them.

Is it inpolite to ask how you compare your 700XE (which was also your design I believe) with your new modules? Not simply which is best (because that is also a matter of personal taste), but more a technical comparison.
I guess now the 700XE has disappeared from the LCaudio pages it is not a commercial issue any more. If it still is, then never mind and forget the question 😉

Hi,

Is that man Gert Fredriksen? It was him who told me the 700XE was out of the market and confirmed that my request for my money back was received.

Lars,

Are there any mechanical drawings of the module and power supply available? I'd like to source chassis for mono blocks soon. Having the dimensions, including hole-spacing for mounting the components will be helpful, as I will have everything drilled by the chassis manufacturer.

Thanks.

PassiveO

Here you have the drawing for the baseplate, the same plate is used both for the PSU and the modules.

For the PSU you use 3 screws, in a triangular configuration, and for the modules, simply one screw in each slot of each side.

Hi,

Cerwin's VS-150.

My speakers would be scoffed at by most around here I think, but I have to say, they've never exactly been the weak link in the chain.. maybe now just starting to get there though, but if that's the case I still love them for everything that I listen to. I've also had them for a long time so I'm very familiar with them, and know what they're capable of.

They're extremely efficient and can handle alot of power.

The room is just your average dump, just like I'm sure alot of people will have? It's damped with your usual clutter and cobwebs. I have them placed where they do the most good for diffusing harsh refractions in the upper audio band and beyond, up in the corners. This serves to preserve phasing of the micro decay. Further to which I add a uniform distribution of randomly sized nano particles, (called cellions (tm) ). The combination is extremely durable, and entirely organic, therefore environmentally friendly. It also becomes activated by audio to filter the surrounding air, allowing for cleaner transmission overall, and serves to constantly renew the delicate cellion layer.

The novel idea for this was just a cue from nature, given that it is the preferred listening area of various small lifeforms and colonies. I've been able to verify a richer black hole type of a noise floor giving rise to preserved pico dynamics, which have never before been audible.

There's only a single place in the entire world this stuff grows, and can be harvested every six months, behind my fridge. We only deal with a list of exclusive retailers, but if you're willing to buy a reasonable quantity, arrangments can be made.
