New Module by Lars Clausen

Hi,

2 minute fix this morning. Borrowed a resistor from somewhere, I think the purpose of the one I swapped being off in value by an order of magnitude was to increase RF on that channel tenfold.

An immediate and boldly obvious improvement of soundstage, imaging/ uniformity... it's like that commercial where a hot girl walks through an office in a skin tight outfit, then gets into the elevator and lets her gut out and it just flops. That's what the width of the soundstage just did, opened up and and "aaaaaawww" relaxed. The stereo image is flying circles around my head now.

Next stop, post filter feedback.

Anyone else ready with a review or... 😉

It only now becomes interesting for when I next plug in the UCD. Exactly how I wanted it before trying post filter feedback. It seems interesting to me that the post filter feedback ground return seems to have an extremely long return loop, one wonders of the additional stray inductance.

Regards,
Chris

Matsen: Yes, we have sent out a few modules to pre-orders, and we are now in process of completing all the pre-orders.

But as you know we also attended the Copenhagen exposition this weekend. Which by the way was a very successfull exposition with many positive visitors. And once we got some broken-in speakers setup, the sound started to be very good too. We had a complete set for people to look at on display, but somehow people didn't care about that, they wanted to look at the one that was playing 🙂 (That's why we took the top off as you can see).

Now the exposition is over, and we are back to producing the pre-orders again. I think within the week we can complete all the preorders, so very soon, many people will own a NewClassD amplifier. 🙂

The introduction sets are still going to be available until the end of 2006, so you can still get them. Maybe you were thinking about the preorder sets.

As I'm still under moderation, I can't delete my posts. A quick surf on the newclassd website answered my question.

http://www.newclassd.com/index.php?page=10

"...Atmel AVR ATtiny13-20....programmed in C....snapshot of all power supply Voltages is stored in memory..." SWEET!! 🙂

A word to newclassd, in the grey box that lists cpu functionality, the word
"snapsnot" should probably read "snapshot"

What embedded OS are they using....ecos/uclinux?
