hmm, did I glue and screw, or just screw...I definitely glued the top ones.Personally I would be removing it for design spec. Not a big job. Then listen you may be pleasantly surprised. If too much resonance just clad the outside. Out of harm's way.
Not as far as I know. That's CHN-50, CHN-50P, CHN-40 and the one-off CHN-40P for last year's Mook project.
The driver in the photo is not new and has already been discontinued.
OM-MF519 is still available as CHN519, but only in Japan.
About the MICA Series
OM-MF4-MICA (magazine supplement) and CHN50P (limited edition box set) have been discontinued, while CHP90mica is on sale.
CHN50P mica and CHN50P mica are scheduled to be sold.
There is no announcement for CHP-100 mica and CHP-110 mica at this time.

Thanks nandappe!
I will buy if they arrive. I realy like CHP90. Maybe CHP110 will give little more bass.

Nothing that I've heard of -and I'm a consultant for Markaudio so I'd probably have heard of it if there was. We are working on some new units though.
This 'mica' business has largely been dropped as far as general / international driver naming goes by MA. The pulp contains some, in addition to the fibreglass of previous types, but since it's simply an additive, it's not really worth elevating its presence to 'name' status. Hence the reason CHP-90 and CHN-50P (https://www.markaudio.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/CHN50P-word-31-Mar-2023.pdf -I added seven box designs for it on the MA site a few months back) are just that: CHP-90 & CHN-50P or it starts getting a bit clunky.

Interesting that Mark Audio are working on more drivers. Curious.
We have been spoiled with new ones. The CHP90 is a very good driver. They quickly sell out at the suppliers .

Well, we're always working on something new, but don't hold your breath, it'll be some time.
I thought I had a scoop on some new drivers. 🕵️♂️ Shame, but sounds like there some nice new things in the works.
I've just plugged back in my little sealed boxed CHN-50's and I hate them. I've eq'd the bass up and they still sound dreadful, super thin and fall apart at any modest volume, in a new house and I don't remember disliking them. Does anyone have a box design they like them in?
From memory they are in sealed cabs 12mm ply, wrapped in 12mm Valchromat so ultra stiff & dead cabinets, 12mm chamfered edges, test boxes so no lagging as suggested, dimensions based on Scotts compact sealed standmount design. New amp too so they are being driven by a NAD C298, Purifi based design.
Just thought I'd ask if anyone has a design they prefer that would get a little more out of them, I was hoping to use them as near field desktop speakers hence the small sealed boxes, but I'm not sure I can live with them as is...

Sealed CHN-50 is a midTweeter.
If you want to get bottom, try Girrafe or Frugel-Horn Lite.
A 3” driver wil really struggle to play loud withut bass support and a high pass filter — your sealed box has a second order low pass, looks like about 130 Hz (F3 only the crosove scares) and doesn’t make even 80 Hz F10 (max flat/Q[0.707)

As Dave says, you're not going to get any LF out of that enclosure (assuming it's basically the little sealed box I did). Assuming a conservative 1/2ohm series R for wire loop & connection resistances, anechoic F6 is roughly 100Hz, as shown in the sketch. It's really meant to be used with a compact sub or by themselves as desktop boxes for basic things like conference calls etc.
I cut the XO on the pre-amp and boosted the bass and it sounds a bit better. But I think I'll shelve them or try and add a sub for a small office system.
I have plenty more drivers to work my way through...
Are there any top MAOP 7 bookshelf designs out there? I have some plywood cabs knocked up based on the 8L sealed Pluvia7 spec

I my as well make the right box, would you advocate sealed or ported?
Would any of the MarKen designs?
Would any of the MarKen designs?
If you want bass, not sealed.
There is almost an entire set, trap, rect, CGR, and one based on IKEA bowls.
And of course subscription means that if needed i can custom a box.
