New Linear Audio publication!

I'm not sure by engineers for engineers is a sole focus. There should be an aspect of plug and play with the opportunity to learn too. I think an interesting section would be reader builds of some of the circuits in Linear Audio.

I hope not. I am not an engineer, I am just a hobbyist. I enjoy each issue and it rewards me with "the opportunity to learn too".

I too would enjoy seeing "readers builds of some of the circuits in Linear Audio".

With his personal help I now have Samuel Groner's "Low noise laboratory-grade measurement preamplifier" from volume 3. This has worked perfectly as designed and has become an important part of my bench.

My current project is Ian Hegglun's Cube-law Power Amplifier. I promise to share my build.

Scott why don't you paste this as a comment there - would look self-serving if I did it...

All I can add is that since AudioXPress decided to change their focus from a true experimenter's magazine to yet another pro audio industry rag the significance of the Linear Audio publications has increased for me. I'll continue to buy as long as the articles are genuinely interesting and consist of well-tested, practical data I can use to build stuff.

Thanks Jan and SY for the EO PCB docs, I have been reading and re-reading the article(s) and decided this will be my first tube based project (and first DIY phono). PCB will make that easier. Will share some pics when I get somewhere (next year some time, I'm slowww).

Dear audio friends, today the new Linear Audio website at www.linearaudio.net - home went live! This website not only looks better, has less bugs (I hope!) but also will allow you to buy a download of individual articles.

Of course, your password is no longer valid (I have no idea what it is so I can't migrate it!), so if you log in request a new password.

If some of you would just do that and let me know if it works OK, that would help me a lot!

Note: it may take some time for all DNS changes to percolate through the web, so you may need to use just linearaudio.net (without the www) to access the new site. Or click the link in my sig.

TIA,

Jan

Hi Jan,

While waiting for my psychiatrist, I had a look at your new website and found that Scopeboy's letter and the reply are missing.

I like the new feature that one can buy articles separately on-line, even though I won't be using it; I always find Linear Audio interesting enough to buy the whole book. There still seems to be a bug on this page; under Articles and Filter by author(s), you see that 14 articles have no author, one is written by 419 and one by 420.

Best regards,
MarcelvdG
