That is a pity but a relay won't solve that 100% as it is too slow. I often hear of such faults but I don't experience those maybe because I play FLAC albums till 24/96?! Only SMSL DACs in my possession are a Quasimodo SU-1 and an M200 (marvelous piece of kit!). Both perform beter than expected. The older ESS based SMSL DACs like M8, M8A had relays and no plops either?! Maybe these had both relays for power on/off plops and semi muting?!
Anway plops are for me reason enough to get rid of stuff. Audio must give relaxation, not stress.

Off topic but these just arrived. They are small. I will assemble a few and test (never publish shizzle without having first built it, 11th commandment). If successful I will post them with Gerbers for anyone to copy in the MOD thread or a new thread "Relay power on/off muting circuit for RCA/XLR"... Without ANY support that is.
