Yes, that's how confirmation bias works. See if you can rig the box up to a switch and get a friend to help you do a blind test switching it in and out and see if you can reliably tell the difference. Then it would be great if you could repeat with a suitably large group of volunteers, do some simple statistical analysis and it will be cool to see the results.

@Captain B I know it's counted as confirmation bias, that was just a sarcastic comment for all the unnecessary bashing 🙂. Besides I don't want to prove anything statistically as it's just a fun experiment for my own exploration within my setup and context.
