So my brother wants me to build a subwoofer for him and his college buddies. I am either looking at using this one (MCM Audio Select 15'' Die Cast Professional Woofer - 400W RMS 8ohm | 55-1880 (551880) | MCM Audio Select), a 15" driver with the hd15 horn from speakerplans.com. Or 2 18"(MCM Audio Select 18" Woofer with Paper Cone and Cloth Surround - 300W RMS at 8ohm | 55-2954 (552954) | MCM Audio Select) in a g sub box. So how are these drivers and which setup would you recommend if not something else with a similar price.
Yeah, the hd15 is not a subwoofer at all. I agree: what is this for? And what amplification will it be used with? And crossover? and other speakers? It all needs to work together.
