I have Nakamichi CR-4 and need to adjust track alignment. I realize original is best solution but simply is not available. Does anyone know of a substitute that would work OK for this deck? I did notice the guy on Ebay from Spain selling ones made on a Dragon and since CR4 and Dragon use different version of track alignment didn't know if that one would be OK or not. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Do You have a good tape recorded on that deck ?
Grab Your headphones and adjust for best treble and balance, but bear in mind that both channels must be recorded in equal amplitude / volume.
That's what I used to align cassette tape decks years ago.

Thanks for reply. I actually have the azimuth alignment tape for high freq and wanted to get it as close as possible with a track(height) alignment tape. The tape deck was severely misaligned by previous owner so badly that it would chew the tape. I wouldn't normally bother with track alignment if not for that. Got it close but still just don't sound as well as it should.
