Naim Audio OLED Display Panel Fading

By a friend occurs an issue at the display on this device:
Naim | All-in-one-Player | Uniti-Serie | SuperUniti

Obviously there are several other models with the same technology and the same basic deficiency.

You can find a lot about this on the web, but no helpful information:

The actually question is, what is the exact reason therefore and whether sustainable self-repair is possible by replacing the associated parts (Naim Audio unfortunately recommends - like many others - always urgently not to lend a hand and invest the 300 to 400 € costs for genuine repair service).
Thank you for your advice

I thought early oled displays have the issue of color fading due to the 'O' (organic) component.
I doubt it's a control or driver electronics issue.
It might be the only cure is to replace the display.

I'd say naim are aware of the issue and maybe they have an updated display that requires other parts to be updated.
Thus the 'we are the only way to repair it'.

Or I could be totally wrong :)

Hello,

Thank you Martin.
I personally bought a screen from china (AliExpress) for my unit. I was not happy with the quality and the screen was sometime reverse.

I then contact B Elec at contact.boutiqueelect@gmail.com he was able to send me the good reference (I just send him my Naim SN number) and the pdf replacement manual.

I bought my screen here too:

Hope that can help.

Hello matt,

I guess you didn't find a suitable replacement screen for your Naim on AliExpress.
You can try to buy on this website, they can perfectly solve the problem of Naim displaying dark and will not display reverse at all.
I've tried it myself.
