I would like a definitive list for placement transistors for a NAD 3020A amplifier. The transistors needed are the following:
I accidentally destroyed my NADs right channel due to a wrong connection in a speaker crossover... very mad at myself.

2N3055/2955 still available. See at Farnell or other Internet vendor.
2N6551/6554. BD137/138 might work well. Available at Farnell too. Take care of pins disposition.

Mmm... RS Components only stock the 3055s! I'll try Farnell but out here in Africa its dark concerning such obscure parts!
It shouldnt be hard to locate these parts except for the 2n devices, Im ex SA, tell me where you located and Ill give you hints where to get these parts from.

As a fellow said above, MJ2955 and 2N3055 can be used on a pair. Use both with the same fT.

NAD 3020 and later variants had a few driver complements.
Hitachi/Renesas 2SB649A, 2SD66A were also used.
The 3055/2955 power complements would have to be the longest runnning, most common and cheapest on the planet.
Deltavektor, you haven't said what is available to you. Is there a repair shop with any transistor parts nearby?

Sorry. No parts shops close-by. I have to buy online. I usually buy all my parts from RS Components online.
Wow. You must be rich. Mantech show availability for 2N3055 and TIP2955/MJ2955 @ around R7-8ea.
From what I know there is a rs electronics branch or used to be in bryanstan, I ordered plenty parts through them when I was still in SA. Also there is philtron in Pretoria or communica in JHB, they will happily post parts to you, if you looking for japanese transistors, theres apon electronics in JHB.
In Nelspruit there used to be a specialised hi fi shop, with highend equipment, they sold specialized caps as well and could probably help you out, they might still be around too, Ill look it up.
