Nad 3020 Issues - from a newbie

You're right there, Dave - I missed checking the legend of the switch with the -20dB muting function. I imagine what I wrote will confuse anyone with the amplifier in front of them so, my apologies folks.

Personally, I'm more familiar with mute meaning to "kill" the sound rather than attenuate it but I guess consumers will interpret it to mean "muted" as in quieter and manufacturers will want to follow what works best for their customers.

The snip shows the part of the schematic at the preamp outputs - both channels, both JFETs and the dual muting switch and balance trim control which follow. I used the 3020i schematic for clarity, as schematics of the 3020 model on the web are showing their age.

Thank you.

I have 3020 late model with capacitors moved towards the middle. Almost like the 3020A.
I believe delay was slightly shorter before and now its around 5sec.
Is here any NAD user which can tell me how long his amp is starting?

here is the video link

so it's around 2 sec too long. No Idea what I have made wrong. Almost all caps has slightly more voltage, but it should not affect time of delay. I have also noticed that one channel (left) starts playing slightly earlier then the right one.. half second. I don't mind this delay, as long the NAD will continue to work as it does now... 😉. Thank you all for advice.
