Nexus: Finally the PCB's are now in sight. They should be here mid of next week. Since you were the starter of this thread, i have promised you a set of working PCB's and i will make them as soon the PCB's arrive here, and everything is tested thoroughly.

are those going to use through hole components? if they will, can I have four channels? I will pay for them once I earn enough money.......
Commentable Pro Thoughts
hi Rajeev
This Test is Best suited to N-channel Mosfet amps because of POSITIVE TEMP COEFF.

Thanks
Does this "BURN in Final WEED out Test" really work , Is this test for
mosfet amps only or for bipolar amps too ? will it sort out oscillations
also ??

HI!
Amp Man
How abt some kind advice and some practical tried tested solutions to Zeta short comings.
Mind you TRIED TESTED unlike the N ch amp thread.
Thanks Lars I am also interested in the PCB of this excellent design.

Rahul

n-channel PCB's
Thank you Lars,
I am looking forward to them.
I have a nice case standing in which I will build them in.
I will keep you updated about my findings.
Best Regards:
Nexus 🙂

Lars if you want to run this particular pcb as a group buy I don't mind. Collect interest and make the interested a good deal. I think many here are waiting for a Volvo amp (not Roll Royce, Mercedes etc.) and I think you are on the right track.Lars Clausen said:Nexus: Finally the PCB's are now in sight. You are not oblicated to sell this pcb dirt cheap for ever. Set a price so it will cover your prototyping costs for this run. Then you can do/charge what ever you want.
don't forget about me!
I want to power my PA system with ZETAs, I have no amps at the moment..
(=i'm in for whatever the deal is)

Commentable Experienced Thoughts
Mr. Rahul
NOR WE WANT TO BUID ZETA AND THEREFORE THERE IS NO SUCH QUESTION ABOUT TESTING OR ADVICE.
SECONDLY, WE RESPECT MR. LARS CLAUSEN AS A MANUFACTURER, SO NO COMMENTS ON SHORT COMINGS OF ZETA.

amp_man this is a diy project at the moment so you can freely say what you want.... and please release the CAPS LOCK PLESASE:

Amp_man : Thats the spirit my friend. Hope you will consider other designs with similar feelings.
Lars I too am working on a singlesided board for Zeta, MOSFETS are outboard.. Would be putting up in few days for comments
for comments.

Rahul
Re: Commentable Experienced Thoughts
from what I understand, Rahul is only asking for advice or suggestions that could make the zeta better. he was not asking you to build one.

Hi Ampman
When I was setting the quessent current of my project of the ZETA at 200ma for 4devices in the output I was wondering what is the Quessent current of your amp with 64 devices ... must be around 3A is it ??

peranders: I am not sure if i want to run a group buy, or make a kit, or just leave this project as a fun experiment.
It will depend on how it performs in the new version. I have the prototype PCB's now, so i can get to it in the weekend. Will post pictures when ready. 🙂

Do what you please. It's was only a suggestion. You could also let somebody else run the show with your gerber files.
I was thinking, since my zeta's don't work well with the +/-50V I planned but works on lower voltages, I could build them into low power versions instead.
makes them cheaper too. 🙂
though I'm wondering, why the zeta's seem to have lower gain at lower voltages........
