Hi Dario,
I try to find the best toroids for this project. I have 4ohm speakers.
I initially wanted to use 2 x 25v 225VA toroids but came across this suggestion:

160VA min, dual secondaries 24-25V (8 Ohm) or 21-22V (4 Ohm)

Would it be possible to still use 2 x 25v with some modifications?
And also should I look for better power rating e.g. 300-400VA?

Thanks

Since you live in Europe I would suggest you to buy Selectronic's R-Core transformers:

Transformateur R-core 120VA - 2 x 21V - R-CORE pour châssis

They're the best you can buy, IMHO.

Regarding the secondaries' voltage... I don't know details (I didn't design the original My_Ref) but from what I remember if 24/25V secondaries are used with 4 Ohm speakers there is some risk when using maximum volume but I don't know if it's only the Spike Protection triggering or a risk of burning the amp for excessive current.

The Transformer I've linked is with 2x21 secondaries, it's an excellent one and will avoid any problem.

If you, instead, want to buy a toroid previous builders reported better results with higher VA rating up to 300VA per channel.

Maybe this information should go in your excellent build guide?
