My UGS UP! power amplifiers - The French Connection I.

Thanks for the idea.
You know, I'm not an EE mind, but I've soldered bypass capacitors on the pins of the regulators.
I will look at datasheets for recommended values.
It is quite interesting, if I touch LM324s A4 pins (12-13-14) with my finger, it seems as if it works.

Well, I have no four unnecessary fingers to solve this problem. 😉

So I welcome any idea!

Check stability of 7812 7912. Local bypass at reg pins. If ST regs, consult datasheet for recomended capacitance, its not same for positive and negative reg.

Radule speeks rarely, but he has the truth then! 🙂
Thanks for the tip!

I slowly completing my next UGS UP amplifier.
The first one is singing flawlessly, without speaker protection yet.

So with the second one, I've tested speaker protection first.
According to Radule's advice, I've changed bypass capacitors around 7812 and 7912 regulators.
I have had at hand 2.2uF 50V Kemet alu caps, and this circuit works fine with them.

to be continued...

Custom made base plate for my Modushop H210: (Excuse me, Gianluca it is better for me with 5mm aluminium plate than 3mm.) 😉

With second one, I've made a mistake, again.
(No, not with my wife, I have the first one yet, I will not make this mistake again, it is for sure!!!) 😉
Later turned out, at one side of second UGS UP there were a short circuit at Q1 legs so I couldn't set absolute offset and bias.
One of my favourite Metex M4650CR multimeter fooled me, so error detection was difficult.
It showed erroneus resistance values, because it had a corroded battery wire. It is interesting, measured voltages were perfect.
It showed about 150 Ohm for the short circuit.
Never mind, I've changed this wire in the multimeter, and it works perfectly again.
I like it very much, and I have an other one as well, but I usually using the older one, which fooled me now.
So I have two perfect Metex M4650CR and two working UGS UP amplifier.
But, as I'm a real trouble seeker, I must have to connect extra output fets yet.
Somewhere I've read, there is a big no-no for solid wires in an amplifier. Yet, I think, I will connect sources and drains of extra Fets with 2.5 mm enamelled copper wires.
