I'm so happy! I've never done any sort of PCB soldering/desoldering, but I got my amp modded in the usual way, and it works! It sounds fantastic. The LED stopped working (gonna investigate right now) and i can't turn it up too high becuause of my wussy 1000ma power supply, but all is good 😀
ok, i checked it out, and my LED power output is reading 12v. I could have swore it was only 2v before. Someone else said it was 2v also. Very strange... anybody know whats going on?

Congrats. Did you lose the resistor on the LED? I believe it's R1 on the top of the board. Though usually the led would pop or cease to function if it were bridged/desoldered.

i had a look at the voltage across the stock LED in my modified amp and it's 2V.
Re: Re: My SI modded amp works!
ok, thats what I thought. Oh well, mine's putting out 12v, and with the proper resistor on a new LED, its working just fine 😕 Oh well, I'm not complaining
