Algar, Thanks!
I do have original tape pulley but with this foolish idea of mine ,to use fairly rigid suspension platform from zeiss microscop it may not work. I will need either rubber belt on tape pulley or thread pulley. I think it will be impossible to use tape on slightly bouncy table. Anyway I'll check how it sounds with suspension and without it, and also with different than this Kuzma inspired base (MDF or acrylic).I do not hold my breath about resoults at all ,just want to get over with after all these years 😉

Hi,
Thank you Algar and Mark for all of the work,
I am looking for a DC controller and Mark circuit seems great. As far as I can say since building a turntable is new to me.
Here is my question: is there any documentation that goes with the circuit that would help me build it?
Thank you very much for your help

Algar has some documentation for his build somewhere.
This is all based on a design of mine which is now over six years old. I published it in Bas Horneman's now defunct online DIY mag, the 2006 issue 1

. Towards the end of the issue there's a long and occasionally erroneous article from me with many motor drive designs in it, all of which have subsequently been greatly improved. The DC drive is towards the end. The information in there will help you understand what the circuit is doing, which will help with troubleshooting.

Thank you Mark. I did get hold of the magazine. This is how I found your name actually. Since it is an older project, would you have a more recent version for sale?
Also, would you have any recommendation to get a pulley for 1/2" tape belt?
Thank you very much for your time,
Julien

My health problems last year put everything on hold for a long time.
I'm still catching up and won't have anything to offer for a while yet. I won't be offering anything for DIY for the foreseeable future.

Hello Mark
I've followed your contributions to DIY in the various threads in which you have been active.
Somehow I have not been aware of your health issues.
I wish you well and I hope to be reading more of your comments in the not too distant future.
Sincerely,
Ralf
