My MMADFM amp is pretty much completed and is in full service powered on approx. 10-12hrs per day. The amp stays a few degrees above ambient room temperature and is dead quiet. Lots of foot tapping going on when my favorite tracks come up and the amp never sounds fatiguing during looong playtimes. I'd say the goals I set for a summer amp have been met @Mooly, Bravo! Thanks again for supporting your creation all these years, I'm glad to finally have built it.

I've a couple of spare boards left if you're planning on building this@geoffw1 great layout thanks, 50mm is perfect for the case I wanted to use.
Building is stalled at present. I've had a few other priorities come up that are getting in the way for now. Hopefully, I'll be able to get back on it soon.@geoffw1,

I've also got a speaker protection board (MOSFET not relay) and a small board with the Thiele network to complete.
Yours looks great by the way. Glad the slim layout works well. As we both found, it's a joy to work on. 🙂

Vunce and I have both assembled, tested and (in Vunce's case) completed the slim SMD version of Mooly's amp. Assembly of the SMD board was very straightforward and apart from a couple of deliberate assembly mistakes on my part (cooked film capacitor in the dc servo on one board and op-amp placed back-to-front on the other) all testing showed the SMD version works just fine. One thing this first run of an SMD version showed up was a few part number corrections and minor changes to the BOM in order to improve construction. The updated BOM and interactive BOM are attached

Speaker protection now tested with dummy load (definitely not with a real speaker!) for turn-on delay, instant mains fail turn-off and dc offset. Mooly amps, SSR protection, and Capacitance multiplier PSU have now replaced my old but excellent Self design Load Invariant rig. The new rig is playing VERY musically as I write.
First impressions are that this is definitely a keeper. When not playing music, it's totally silent - no hiss, no hum. When it's playing music, it's bliss!

The case is a Modushop Slimeline 2U. It was relatively tight with the original Douglas Self unit I built as my retirement project (actually completed a few months prior to retiring!) but swapping out everything and replacing everything but the case and transformer seems to have loads of room.Could I just ask where the case is from ? it looks to be an ideal size for a lot of projects, but it's not one I've seen before.
My SMD version of the Mooly amp was laid out so it would happily fit into either my existing case or a Modushop Dissipante 2U case (Gianluca kindly provided clearance dimensions for the side panel heatsinks / mounting brackets).
