My good old-new Aleph

Hello everybody !!!

I would like to introduce my Pass Aleph to you.
It is working since more than four years, but I only managed to make photos now. Many thanks to Mark Finnis, who inspired me
building my Aleph Power Amplifier, and the same to the One and Only.

In my definition this is an Aleph 9, because it has 2*9 FETs per side, with 1 Ohm source resistors, 2*47 V rail voltage, 3KVA toroidal transformer, 4* 100.000 uF Capacitors with choke. It consumes approximately 500W power/channel. The heatsinks temperature is 35°C above ambient. It has got a weight of 110 kg's (about 240 lbs). Now take a look inside:

About the sound

My amps evolution:
Firstly i built an Aleph 4 Based on Mark Finnis's design.
Secondly I upgraded it to an Aleph 2 changing the source resistors from 1.5 ohm to 1 ohm.
Finally I changed the number of FETs from 2*6 to 2*9.
The sound is the hardest to describe, not only because my poor English. With increasing the number of FETs and current, the bass is got stronger (I like it.) but the mids and highs became less fluid and airy.
The greatness of Aleph designs is not only in their simplicity, but also everybody can find the way he likes it.

In comparison with my old K4040 its sound is more transparent airy and tight.
while the K4040 is reassuring but we can say it's also boring.
The bass is better, even the Aleph 4's.
