To be honest...I have no clue...I'm going by the seat of my pants...you might have to use a condensing lens after the LCD to use the f3.5....but I don't know for sure.
Good Luck!
Very Well done John!I wanna see the results soon!
I wish I had a decent digital camera so I could have done the same for a 2.5" hipgear lcd...

part2wanksta said:oh, what does a condensing lens do.
A condensing lens takes the image/light source and focuses it to a smaller size.

Well the mock up will be up next week...it is a work in progress. BTW what was the f stop rating on the lens you used?
I have no idea, but the lens that I do plan to use is a Delta 4. Its very light efficient, and its bigger than the lcd, so I can have lens shift! Im probably not going with the whole slide projector idea on my lcd.
BTW, you should use a crt tv projection lens, They are very light efficient, and give excellent results on a screen 5" or less.
Ancorp,
where in the net can i find crt pjection lens?
Where did you get yours from?
I am also planning to build a Psone projector unless i find this
Toshiba , LTM10C306L panel which is supposed to be XGA amd has DVI. Any ideas Where i can find that also?
Thanks.

You can order one from Surplusshed.com, not shure of the number, but you can find it (it will be under objectives probably).
I got my Delta4 lens locally, 10$ canadian! (about what like 8$ US?). Also I got 3 heavy, about 4-6 element crt lenses from my grandfather, that pulled them off a broken projection tv, that had no screen. (too bad I wasnt there, I would have taken the mirror too...lol.)

Sorry folks....I haven't made progress on the projector....More important things in life at the moment!
Keep checking....maybe this weekend will prove more eventful
