Konnichiwa,
My observations have been that those who would deny others the occasional halve on grounds they may get drunk and start "hearing things" simply are not having much fun and bergudge others their having fun....

"bergudge others their having delusions" would have been may choice.
Yeah, you can get drunk all time you want. Just don't insist that others are drunk.

You want to avoid that pleasure, just don't mix with drunks.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: why this page on my site?
thank you for your advice but I don't recall asking you for it.
No, there is no reason for me to avoid any pleasure, especially when it comes fromt he drunk.

As this thread is properly titled "My fans - how they love me....", and I'm definitely one of YOUR fans, my advice comes from being concerned about your well being😉

Hi!
What amazes me time and again is how some grown up (and proven not to be the average illiterate Joe From The Stree) people (I assume that most of you "main posters" in this topic are older than me, with my 27 years) let themselves be drawn deeper and deeper into heated discussions about a kind of mixture of opinions and facts.
This kind of reminds me of neighbourhood fights, where nobody knows how and why it started, but simply keeps on fighting.
That, and the tendency of people always wanting to have the last word on something of which they believe they know some (a lot) about, leads to neverending posts with an accusing tone...
Read a post, laugh or cry, maybe state your opinion once, lean back, and try keeping your mouse movements away from the "Post Reply" button... If your posts will fall upon unhearing ears (literary speaking), then why keep on posting?
Live and let live...
G' night,
Arndt

reply to some questions
Hi chipampdiyers,
Wether I am crazy or not is not for me to judge, I leave that to you.
The gizmo word is not from me, its from Mr. T. himself.
Yes I have built many chip amps over the last 35 years and am listening at the moment to one connected to my pc: nice organ music: Bach.
But I have a decent power supply on it and a solid design, nice sound.
never mind.
The way Mr. T. started this thread tells enough on itself imo.
But I see Mr T. admits some things here, thats an advance after all.
Also I see that quite some members here show again to have good judgment concerning the latter.
I am NOT spreading around I never made any mistakes concerning this issue.
Mr.T. is not in my spamfilter, I have nothing against his person and I am willing to communicate with him in a normal & decent way, although I still think he persist in refusing this.
But I leav Mr T. now for what he is, I think it is enough.
I have removed the pictures as I think it is all about the message, not the person.
I stay with the contents of my article on my website and if you want your chipamp to sound better one of the easiest things you can do is get decent caps into your psu like tell on my website, then your LM3875 really rocks, than you get the real benefits of this nice powerchip.
Kind regards,
Hans.

addition
I forgot to add this:
The shottkey diodes were named so by Mr.T. himself not by me, I tell on my website that normal diodes do the job very well.
Kind regards,
Hans.

lysdexia?
Konnichiwa,
Sorry, "bergudge" was meant to read "begrudge". As you may have by now noticed, I have my own problems typing/spelling, it's called dyslexia IIRC, a recognised learning disability.
Oh and english is my 3rd or 4th language (depends how you want to count) not my native tounge, so please make some small allowances for that, though honest, my german spelling is no better, can't be helped.

what I find offensive in this whole thread is the tragetting of individuals, personally. It would have been a much more constructive and helpful discussion if we all can focus on the content, or "message" as Hans had pointed out, and leave the "personal touch" out of this.
I learnt as a consultant that there is no fault in any person, but in the processes. Let's focus the disucssion on the content, not the person delivering that content.
Please refrain from calling others crazy or clowns just because they disagree with you.

But it's the personal 'touch' that really makes that web site content rock.
Knowing the creator is not '...just another pimply soul with access to a keyboard' but someone with 35 years of experience in chipamps (that's kind of stretching it, maybe he meant 35 years of experience in Photoshop?) puts the whole incident in a different, even funnier perspective.
photoshop
My experience with photoshop is indeed very limited, I did not create the pictures however, they were made in "Great Britain".
I do not recall when I made my first amp with a IC, I remember one of the first was one of the Philips IC's, I think it was called TAA300, capable of, yes, 1 Watt. The thing got extremely hot when you tried that. I think it was around 1970. These ICs were of another nature compared to the IC nowadays. You could easely blow them up. I still have a few from these times. They were put in transistor alike housings. They had little compensation devices inside.
Nowadays one has to heavely mistreat an IC to kill it. It still amazes me that these electronic engineers succeeded in getting 56 Watts of audio out of such a small device and nothing goes wrong.
For the record, here is a link to the forum referred to by Mr.T. where I put some more lines concerning the latter.

😀
SY, congratulations, only you figured out what I said.
millwood, I called you a clown, not a drunk.

Anyway, what are you doing in this forum, man?
Helping people to make crappy amps?😱 😕
If you can't put an LM3875 playing some nice sounds, that's your problem.
pe1mmk: you'd be shocked to LISTEN to the difference the MUR860 diodes do to the sound comparing to normal diodes.
HAVE YOU TESTED IT?

I never ceased to be amazed by threads like this. Why is it the human race cannot stop arguing about ANYTHING. Audio remains a subjective thing and always will be. We each experience the world in different ways according to many different variables. It is also a human trait to beleive we are, and want to be, better than anybody else at things. There is ALWAYS someone who can do it faster, better longer etc etc. Before i get leapt upon for sticking my nose in - i mean no harm i have no problem with anyone. I just wish that people would remember that supposedly we are all in this forum because we love music and the means to make better music.
Peace guys. Enjoy the music and have a good Crimbo (the two go together quite well with a few glasses of something)

Konnichiwa,
I take it that you where taking your own advise when you penned these comments? Or does this only apply when you happen to be the person targetted.
You know, you are not even worth wasting my time on comments to your views.

this is not a constructive way to start a discussion.
there are people who hide behind "commercial interests", you seem to like to hide behind your "high horse", 🙂
Well, I am not disappointed or detered by your "no-comment". Rest assured that I WILL continue to comment on any rubbish, whether it comes from Mr. Audio Gizmo or anybody else.
