why this page on my site?

I think it is time to explain why I put this stuff temperory on my site.

I have had several discussions with this Mr. T.Loesch alias Kuei Yang Wang. (and he keeps on harassing me since). He does not have the decency to answer to posts of me on this board and even emails he does not reply to. He avoids fair discussions. And I am not the only one with this experience.
He recently even sent a sneekey mails around about me and some other people.
But I do not mind, I have nothing personal against Mr.T.. And I am not going to fight it on this board or anywhere else. I did not start this tread, mr. T did.

What I DO mind is this:
To many diyers he presents himself as the alknowing gizmo of audio, I oppostethis as I think he lacks fundamental knowledge. He publishes all kind of things that are at least of a questionable nature like this inverted LM3875 thing. That is why I posted this LM3875 thing on my site. I have nothing against this IC itself.
I admit the latest addition with the pictures was rather childish, but it was fun as I am not the maker of the pictures you can understand what a hilarious situation we were in. I have removed the pics.
But one has to do sometimes not so nice things to expose rubbish and worse.
I think Mr.T. should lower his tone to a normal level so we can hear all people on boards like this.

(excuse my English)
kind regards,
Hans.

Hans, have you ever tried the LM3875?
I speak for myself, this defies theory, and I was sceptic too.
Until I made my first IGC.
Are you talking by theory?
You'll never know until U make one.:whazzat:
Then come back and criticize.

P.S.: I know high-end when I hear it.😉

I would 2nd that one.

whenever someone presents him/herself as all knowing, I know it if fishy, 🙂

Other than fundamental knowledge, some folks on their board can use a few more things as well.Hans.

Yeah. I remember those "dark" days when people are claiming 10x of performance gains going from NI to I configuration as THD improved from 0.000001% to 0.00000000000001%, 🙂. To hear that, you would have to borrower a pair of ears from God, 🙂

Believing in all those BS is why audio is where it is today.

Fortunately, those proponents are quite quiet now about their theories, experiments and golden (or godly) ears, 🙂

I for one missed those pictures, 🙂

I would 2nd that as well.

there may be a difference between what you claim to know and what you know.

I could claim to know 16th century arts but that would make it nothing but a foolish claim on my part.

no. you made my day. But I will have the decensy not to call you crazy.

We have to respect others the way we want ourselves to be respected.

Afterall, this is a site for discussions, not personal attacks, even for those who aren't members of this forum. and I hope everyone can remember that.

😱 :whazzat:
Deam it.😕

millwood, I don't know what you understood by my "claim".
Actually, I was just talking about subjective listening impressions.
That chip is high-end IMHO.
I've heard plenty of things in my life.
The last thing that impressed me was the Halcro pre/monoblocks.
I can listen to almost whatever I want, and I'm used to listen to good things.

Anyway, I don't say that the NIGC is better to the IGC.
I have a pre with lots of current (thanks to the BUF634), no problems to drive my IGC 5m away and for now I'm still using my IGC power amp on my main system.
Here's one more "claim" (actually, this is op-amp basics):

"The inverting amplifier can have better THD+N performance and eliminates the need for a large capacitor (Ci) reducing cost and space requirements."

This is on National's LM4780 datasheet.:clown:

If I would like it to be a personal attack, it would read quite differently.

I am quite sure that you wouldn't be happy if people call you crazy, no matter how justified in their minds that you deserve to be called that way.

You are of course free to express yourself. I only suggested that you treat others exactly the way you would like to be treated.

That's my post. Can you clearly say who am I calling crazy? Or maybe you are reading between lines, but this only makes unsubstantiated claims, which are hard to proove (if you know what I mean).

OTOH, what pe1mmk did on his site, can qualify as personal attack. Must be a reason why he decided to pull the pictures out. How can he expect to be treated as "he would like to be treated"?

By the same token, my beat-up 1987 Chevy Nova is also a high-end IMHO, 🙂

probably not, ;0

so are we to just sound quality of Amp A by listening to Amp A or by THD+N figures of Amp B?

No. I don't know what you meant. Why don't tell us what you meant?

It doesn't matter whom you call "crazy". I just thought it is not a nice thing to call anyone crazy, including those who aren't here and unable to defend themselves.

If someone else calling you crazy somewhere else, I would be defending you equally, unless of course I think you ARE indeed crazy.

I disagree. he put out someone's reasoning out there, and disputed it one by one. The pictures are for fun.

But I am OK if you disagree with me, and I wouldn't use that disagreement to justify calling you (or anybody) crazy.

This makes me wonder why YOU didn't defend the guy when Bricolo made his post:

Bricolo said:
LOOOOOOLLLL!!!!

This guy is crazy 😀 he made my day!

However, it seems like it's very important to you when I used an expression "crazy"

Why don't you tell us what's going on?

Because I hold you in the highest regards, 🙂

No. I simply didn't see the other post. But your logic is faulty: it like a bank robber asking the judge to release him from his crime because "there are other robbers who got away".

What's wrong is wrong, regardless of if others got away with it.

And why not?
If that's difficult to understand for you, then you don't know how to judge a system.
Or an amp.
Or whatever.
So don't talk about what you don't know.

You're a :clown: .

The same might equally apply to your "smart" answer.

it has nothing to do with if my answer is smart or not.

Calling others "crazy" is wrong, no matter you did it or somebody else did it.

Yes, I hold you in the highest regards, in the same ballpark with President Clinton, Mike Tyson, Mike Milken, President Chirac, James Baker, Dr. King, etc. and I mean it.

that's why it pained me so much seeing you disappointing me.
