Nezbleu,
I am truly sorry for your loss. Your Dad sounds like a remarkable man. On a very selfish note, your post caused me to think about my own father, who passed away in 2004 at 83; for that, I thank you.
Life is harder without your father, but I think he prepared you well for the task.

Condolences! I can relate to this. Memories will keep coming back and they will keep you going. Thinking of all the times that you have spent with your dad & mom will be exhilarating....
I'm sorry to hear of this happening. Death sucks for those left behind. Not so much for the dead. At least they have been relieved from this hell. I will never know your type of loss. Lovingly remember the time you spent together...always.
Our Fathers were born in 1927 and taken from us in 2015.
Cal, I'm sorry to hear about your loss too.
We never fully appreciate the things in life - especially people - until they are gone. I miss both of my parents.

Sorry to hear about your loss. My condolences to you and your family.
Thank you for sharing the tribute; indeed your dad lived a long and interesting life.

Once again, thank you to you all, your support means a lot to me. I was feeling pretty bad Wednesday night when I posted this, I think because of the suddenness and violence of his passing. Receiving your words of encouragement really helped me.
Sorry to be catching up to this so late.
My dad died of a massive coronary on a business trip when I was in grad school. I don't think you ever get over the shock, and the sadness persists.
As time passes, however, your memories of the best times are burnished and become more indelibly fixed.
