Just find 6ag9 tube have even higher pentode transconductance than 6ah9
and triode very similar to 6ah9 with very much lower price. I will try both of them preferring all tube mu stage .

In Thomas Myer's view, the triode on the 6AG9 is similar to that of the 6N7. Eric Barbour thought that the triode in the 6AG9 was similar to the triode in the 6AU8, while the pentode was similar to the 12HG7 (another fine device).

The 6AG9 triode gain is 39, almost twice the 6AH9 triode gain of 20. A 6AG9 mu stage is good if you need the extra gain.
