Hi all,
Regarding the royal wedding, it's getting a bit crazy here at the moment. The TV has royal documentaries on all the time, and everybody is going completely nuts in Copenhagen - nuts in a nice way that is. I think it's a bit funny thou, we Danes have had a hard time adjusting to the different people from different countries coming to live here because of the different ways we think and act. But when the princes of Denmark find their princesses abroad, everybody is thrilled???
bg40403, yes you will be able to use the boards that way, providing that the components will fit on the board. Nice idea thanks for the input. You just have to "mate" some sets of resistors and caps, and change between them using the jumpers. It might be a bit frustrating thou, because the silkscreen has freq numbers next to the jumpers. I'm sure you'll figure it out 🙂

Double standards are not twice as good as standards!

Re: Compensation capacitors?
Perhaps moamps will comment...I went up to 100pF, but I suspect there is not a problem going down to 47pF.Andypairo said:I am struggling to find a reasonably cheap source for the compensation capacitors (68 pF) used in the opamp modules... (polystyrene or mica or ..?).. but the 68 pF value seems to be among the less used ones... can this value be changed a bit?
Any suggestions appreciated

Re: Compensation capacitors?
Any value from 39 to 100pF will be fine. Polystyrene or good quality styroflex or silvermica.

Very nice Jens, thanks! Good to have some independent verification.
I have a very important question for everyone and I need an answer within the next 24 hours. It turns out that the PCB shop misquoted the order with regard to the scoring (no ability to jump score). Does anyone have a serious objection to tab routing instead of scoring?

Hey I have an objection! I don't what what either means! What is tab routing? What is scoring?
Thanks,
Sébastien

I like scoring a lot better. Is there no way to get it done with scoring?

I'll see what the reactions are overnight, but my feeling was the same. I already have the order invoiced with scoring, but they tried to come back after the fact and change the price (by about $700). I will press them on the issue and come up with a way to get it scored. There is really no excuse to bait+switch like that.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I prefer scoring alot better too. Pls let me know which you choose, I may want to change my order.
Thanks
Thanks
If tab routing becomes necessary, no tabs should be allowed to interfere with the chip-side heatsink mounting prefered by many. They should understand tab location isn't totally at their discretion.
Play hard ball if you have to.
Good Luck

Hello,
I can get 400 filterboards cut to size for about 5 US$ / board in 6 weeks. 500 boards are a bit cheaper, but not much.
Tyler if send me the gerber files for the opamp, and total number wanted, i'll find out the price for them also.
There is NO tool or setup charge

I have no good idea of the pros and cons of each method, I was a veroboard kinda guy til now 😉
But: changing quotes after the fact is a no-no, that company is not in a good position to have you accept the consequences of their own incompetence. Worse if it's bait and switch.
I support playing hardball and I accept the consequence of a possible delay. Though I'd love to have the boards already 🙁

Thanks for all the responses. There is no impact to anyone that has made a purchase; the boards will still be delivered on time, scored.
I just wanted to get an idea of what people's feelings were so that I knew what options I had.

Just wanted to confirm that the scoring issue has been resolved on the side of light. No change to the fact that the boards will be scored or to the ship date. Sorry if I alarmed anyone.
