Moamps, since you're here 😉 - you mentioned your circuit (adequately to name Mo(p)amp) was planned for BC550/560. Any disadvantages to use these instead of MPSA42/92? I can get the BC's easier locally.
Tyler,
I placed my order last week and two days ago I added 4 more boards to it. I sent you a message with the PayPal payment, but haven't received a reply. Could you please answer my message?

Hi,
I think you can use BC's in this Tiroth and Jens's design (Vcc=+/15V, Ic to 10mA) without any problems and sonic degradations. Another good pair is 2sa970/2sc2240 (different pinning!!!).
Regards
Jose, I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Yes, I have both your orders and have combined them.
I have also combined orders for Paolo, Nisbeth, MBK.
I have received some requests to declare a particular value on packages (e.g. $20). It is my understanding that in the EU, at least, duties and fees are not assessed so long as the declared value is less than 45 Euros. Should I plan on writing a declared value of US$20 on each package, unless I hear otherwise? The only downside is that this rather precludes the appropriate insurance being applied. This is slightly worrisome to me as I have personally experienced U.S. customs destroying packages I have received.
Does the description "printed circuit board samples - no commercial value" seem reasonable? Let me know your thoughts.

I also tried BC556 as the output transistor, worked fine of course. There are a lot of options that should work out ok. The tweaking will never end now.

I think so, and as Henry Kissinger famously said, it has the additional virtue of being true 😉 ... since this is a non commercial 'at cost' exchange.
I also had US customs destroy/delay/very badly repackage fragile items. But for all other countries I never had a problem, it should be fine w/o insurance.

Your Value and Description is fine for Canada. Last time with BrianGT GC group buy it was declared $20USD value I had to pay $9CDN tax or whatever they call it and I expect the same this time...
Chris
I have received one request to declare no dollar value whatsoever to Canada. I am happy to do so, if you prefer.
Yes, if you stick to the SAMPLE idea then sample really should not have any retail value. Zero amount will be great with me.
Thanks,
Chris
Thanks,
Chris
Orders accepted through tomorrow night (Saturday)
I am accepting orders through Saturday night. Anyone can participate, even if you had not previously signed up. There is also a link to an informational page off of the order form, if you need more info and don't have time to read through the (loong) thread.

I still am unable to check my personal mail at work, so if you have asked a question today, please be assured that I will answer it tonight.

Yes, I did not mean to imply anything negative about the list, just make those people aware that I hadn't recieved a payment yet. There was some confusion for a bit over whether to sign up in the wiki or to order, fortunately I think everyone is clear now.
After the order is in Monday I will send an email out to everyone who has paid confirming their order, and another when I receive and ship the boards.

Sorry guys, since Deadline is closing now, I just go to ask the questions that I have without researching.
I want to build a system of 2.1, Do I need this crossover? Since I don;t have a pre amp, Can I use this to seperate sound to 2 bookshief speakers, and one subwoofer. And later on may I be able to use this as part of the pre amp in the output?
My other question is sources from DAC seperated by crossover to make a 5.1/2.1 or it seperated digitally which will have 6/3 outputs from the DAC? Is Crossover just handle seperating high pass and low pass? If so can I connect my sources->crossover-> high pass-> amp-> bookshief speakers , then from low pass filter-> amp-> subwoofer? If I want to make the 2 ways book shief speaker's woofer act like a mid-bass, how can I do that?
And What is 1th/2nd/3rd/4th order mean?
Sorry for my late questions, plz help
