Perfection is perception. A lot of things are easily called 'perfect' without much thought about what it really means. It means most of the time you simply had not seen or thought about something better and because you don't know it, it's just the perception of perfection until you learn it actually can be better. There are very few things actually perfect.
DDT was effective, Jack, but had terrible side effects.
DDT still used in OFF
Perfection is absolutely possible.
DDT's side effects were/are way overblown.
They feed the flies that lay their eggs in sheep's eyes whose larvae then render them blind, to the sheep, in order to fool the flies into regarding the sheep as one of them and so stopping them from laying their eggs in the sheep's eyes, in Australia/New Zealand.

Thought I was reading a quote from The Silence of the Lambs for a second there.

So you can surmise the inference to mosquitoes.
There was an episode on Dragon's Den a few years ago on a novel approach to mosquito repellents as a side effect to another innovation. Apparently a vitamin B-1 patch on your skin will repel mosquitoes. Taking a pill does not work, it must be absorbed directly into your skin.
Nothing is required to do anything other than that which it does (or doesn't) according to its attributes (whatever they may {or may not} be)
Of course there always is something. Take a car. No matter how well build, how expensive, you can always come up with 'if it only...' .

Your amp is functioning exactly as it should, as does the entire Universe. The fault dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves. My single ended tube amp is certainly flawed........look at it's THD at 1 watt out.
But I still cherish it.
By definition, everything is flawed.
Everything is flawed.
It came into existence at one point in time and therefore must also perish again.
It will not be forever.
Therefore it is flawed.
A declaration by imperfection, therefore flawed.Everything is flawed.

You can claim ad hominem, but it's a 'perfect' reciprocal.

I am glad you like it.
Some pieces of (sheet) music are flawless, despite the horrible reality that they were created by human beings.
Didn't "Radar O'Reilly" use a line like that to get a date in the hit TV series M*A*S*H.
(PS i will let you know if either Loretta Switt or Sally Kellerman were really blondes)
