Perfection is perception. A lot of things are easily called 'perfect' without much thought about what it really means. It means most of the time you simply had not seen or thought about something better and because you don't know it, it's just the perception of perfection until you learn it actually can be better. There are very few things actually perfect.

Perfection is absolutely possible.

DDT's side effects were/are way overblown.

They feed the flies that lay their eggs in sheep's eyes whose larvae then render them blind, to the sheep, in order to fool the flies into regarding the sheep as one of them and so stopping them from laying their eggs in the sheep's eyes, in Australia/New Zealand.

Thought I was reading a quote from The Silence of the Lambs for a second there.

So you can surmise the inference to mosquitoes.

There was an episode on Dragon's Den a few years ago on a novel approach to mosquito repellents as a side effect to another innovation. Apparently a vitamin B-1 patch on your skin will repel mosquitoes. Taking a pill does not work, it must be absorbed directly into your skin.
