More strike through issues with common words, abbreviation

What I see in the code is this:
future please only attach what portion[S] is relevant. TIA[/S]

Did you mean to use parentheses on the S at the end of "portion"? The square brackets invoke BB code.

No, I learned that on Day 1. That said, I initially did out of habit, but on the first strike thru post I realized my error and edited/deleted them, but kept getting strikes with/without the 's', so guess I'm now wondering if once posted, it can't be deleted.

"which portion(s) are relevant" is one way to put it.

If you instead type "which portion[s] are relevant" then it will put an [/s] at the end and it will all become strikethrough.

There is a way around it if you want, like I did in this post for display purposes..

The strikethrough thing still seems like a provision for one use in ten million .
I use it pretty regularly, but it's particularly useful for edits and updates, often allowing a bit of humour or nuance in the edit. Or showing that something that was there is now not.

GV uses it so frequently he'd like to see it on the main toolbar. I think it's fine in the dropdown myself.

Epanorthosis - yes, that's it!
