Just as no one could imagine 100 years ago what we have to day. We can not begin to imaging what wonders that science will bring in the future .🙂

Well,
it needs to keep going forward at an ever increasing rate..if man is still here when our sun is not..then we may have made it for now..😀
Magnetic "electrical power"...watch this space..<<spin

Sorry to rain on your parade, but the discovery is not of magnetic monopoles in our universe but an analogue of magnetic monopoles in a spin ice. True magnetic monopoles may or may not exist; this experiment sheds no light on that question whatsoever.
The headline should read "Magnetic monopoles still not found, but analogous behaviour seen in spin ice".

Yes,
however its still very interesting..
Quote..
“These recent papers provide overwhelming proof of the existence of magnetic monopoles in spin ice,” says Prof Steve Bramwell of the LCN, ”
Prof. Bramwell, “is how perfect they are: they really do look just like those monopoles expected to exist somewhere in the universe. Why nature should reproduce a mini-universe within a material, we do not yet know”.<<<a "why" question..
Colourful wording but still interesting..
