Thoughts to you and yours Tom, take care. There are boards and most of the BOM primed for liftoff downunder - a friend bought for two builds, keep you posted.
Hi Tom,
I'm sorry to hear that he died. The one good thing is that it wasn't a long protracted affair.

Tom - there are no words, really. In the past 6 months, I've said goodbye to three myself, and in the long run, quick and peaceful is a blessing.
Very sorry to hear about your father Tom. My thoughts are with you and your family. It must be an awful time.
I've been ignoring the thread for a while due to embarrassment at lack of progress so missed this. Nothing I can say that hasn't been already, but my thoughts are with you.
Condolences to you and your family Tom, losing a parent is hard but time has a way of helping.
I'm sorry to hear about it, however it is better for a child to bury a parent than a parent bury a child. That means he had a full life and got to see his kids grow up.
True that.
As Chris said, it's better to have it be a quick and sudden death rather than a prolonged affair. With strokes, it can go either way, though in case of my dad, the fact that the stroke was hemorrhagic certainly sped things up. My dad was at the top of his game on Thursday evening, hanging out with friends, having a great time. Sunday he was dead.
I'd also like to point out that before you sign up for the Sudden Death Package, that it is rather hard on the relatives. 🙂
Thanks to all (also from my mom) for your condolences. Those are very heartwarming. Thank you.
It'll be a bit before my brain will be able to think coherent engineering thoughts. I'm confident that with time I'll be back in full force, though. Feet down. Head up. Nose forward.

Hi Tom,
Try to anticipate your Mother's need on the anniversary of his death and his birthdays. Those times are very hard on the surviving partner. The first year is the worst, but those two dates will always be bad. You might find Christmas and other significant holidays to be rough as well. Do your best and I wish you strength when your Mother needs it.
Looking after someone else tends to distract you to some degree, depends on the person. My wife and I have both lost our Fathers and this is our observations, that's all.
Take care, Chris

Thanks, Chris. What would have been their 51st wedding anniversary on June 23rd will be the first rough patch.

Hi Tom,
You still have to get through your feelings too. Take a little time if you need and I'm pretty sure the folks around here will understand. Especially the funeral planning and service. You won't feel it at first, that comes later for most people.

Tom, My thoughts and prayers are with you... My father passed not many months ago so I might be able to relate. At 94, he was ready to go... I wasn't ready for him to go.
After using the Modulus86 for some time now, It is clear that I have never had such a good amplifier before. So I never had anything but midrange Linns and simple gainclones. I was not expecting this, that’s for sure.
Thank you very much for an amazing product, Tom!
