Yes, to a certain extent you are right, and if we had the time (in an ideal world) then we would indicate what has been moved. If a discussion is audio related, then we will usually indicate what has happened. For irrelevance, rudeness etc. then they just go straight to Texas.
If you guys want to pay huge membership fees to pay us a living wage to be here all the time, then I'm sure we would be up for it!

this still does not sound very convincing to me.
When You remove a post You`re already there and You know why You want to remove it. To put Your moderator head on and type three words just takes You a few seconds more.
It wouldn`t be necessary to phrase a novel as explanation, just a short hint what`s basicly going on, enough for most I think (unless in very special cases) to stop wondering and ask questions.
I`m quite sure, on the long run, this would result in the opposite of what you said and even spare You moderator guys time as You wouldn`t get involved in discussions like this so often.🙂
The same goes for the "educational" thing I mentioned. When once in a while in a thread people would see pop up those kind of short comments of You moderators about removed posts, maybe they get a better understanding of what You would consider as off topic, rude, etc. etc. and maybe they refrain to post such things first of all.

This thread was specifically set up to discuss moderation and has been expanded to be the place for criticsm of moderators (the only place) and I find your attempt to stifle that offensive. About a year before you even registered, there was a lot of discussion about abuses by a particular moderator, and I find your tone here to be similar. Look in the archives. An apology is in order.
