Pay Diyaudio, i once thought about this, but now, YA RIGHT!!, i would NEVER pay for this site any more, no way, this place has DEFIANTLY gone down hill. I COULD EVEN CARE LESS if i was banned, this site really has gone down hill,

SO many threads get hi-jacked
So many threads just go to waste.

ive talked to more than 4 dozen people on here that have said PFFT this site used YES USED TO BE great, now there are lots of people that just have left.

$20 for what so you can delete my post's remove them but yet you can have some other people hijack threads waste time and efforts while others are TRYING TO LEARN..

yep.. you wont see one red cent from me..

P.S did i mention how much I would miss this place.. about NONE!!

Audio Freak has tried I can see why he is not hanging around any more, I don't blame him, when I joined him and Jason used to be poking around talking and starting threads.

NOW I know exactly why...

The current mods are doing a HORRRIBLE YES HORRIBLE JOB for this site..

I post one small or even a single comment and its removed,, HOWEVER WE HAVE OTHER MORONS ON HERE that are allowed to post 4 pages of BULL CRAP.. cool VERY cool.

I'm pretty glad i'm signed up other places.

Ban me if you wish, i could care less, just thought i would spout off and let all the people know that this is not worth $20 until it gets fixed.

Let's see... you thought about paying once but didn't even back then when things were great according to you.

We now have almost 80,000 members - a number that seems to double every couple of years....

Of course we make a huge effort to to the best we can, but apparently you aren't satisfied. You have often mentioned that you are going to quit, but you never do, and post often. If you don't enjoy it here, feel free to stop posting and quit.. We aren't making you post.

Perhaps its diatribes of yours like this one, out of the blue, that get deleted? seems right to me....and it seems that we have been very patient to have not taken stronger action in the past.

The 'ideal' Mod?

It seems to me that the 'ideal' Mod would be someone who has little knowlege but comes here to learn, so most likely noobs or technophobes wanting to learn. (That in itself raises issues as they would need to be a member for a while to get how things run and assuring thier loyalty to the sight)

I have learned through reading countless threads, some many hundreds of posts long as well as posing really stupid questions. I have been royally P!$$£) off, because I am trying to pick this stuff up, when someone 'jacks the thread or two 'great minds' start sparring over who has better taste in caps.

Most are used to seeing people whose ego's are to big for the entire net getting all puffed up and throwing thier resistors out of the pram. Unfortunatly, as in society in general, people watch a thread getting the stuffing knocked out of it/having its wallet taken at knifepoint and walk on past.

That's why someone who has no particular skillset but wants to really learn would be a great mod. Because they are the ones that lose out......

Oh and another thing...

I have had no problems with the mods on this site.

For those who whole life revolves around this site......go away and go for a walk. Take up photography. Take up sewing. Just get away from the soldering iron and pc screen. If you feel so strongly about a posting on this website that you have to vent then you have missed the point of the sites existance.

Take a month off from the site and rediscover all the discs that you have not listened to for years. Go and buy 3 albums that you have never heard and sit and listen to them all the way through.

Go and buy something really simple like the stuff this guy did and rediscover your hobby http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/trends/ta10_2.html Tweek the hell out of it!

This site is about making things to listen to music on. Dont forget to listen to the music - Its supposed to sooth your soul.

The funny thing is that there are some moderators who do not work in audio or know much about electronics.

Seems your wishes were answered before you asked! 😉

We also need moderators who have expertise in various areas so they can referee with knowledge. Arguments are unavoidable given the subject matter.

You can ask Bill Gates for this. Maybe the next years the language of Windows will be the Greek language.

The subject that has relation with this post has closed before enough hours, after a private agreement between me and Variac.
Thus, any report in this concrete post does not have any sense more.

I mean, I'm darned tolerant. Which can be problem on it's own.

I'd be off having a beer. let the kids run around the yard. They'll scream if they hurt themselves. Then I'll go see what's what.

Even then I won't go. When they are very quiet only then will I check to see what they are up to. Most of the time when they are very quiet they are doing something very naughty.

Also if they cry straight after they have fallen they are ok. The longer they stay quiet after falling the louder the crying is going to be once they start...and the harder they have fallen.
