Hi,
I am implementing a circuit where NE5532 needs to drive a resistive load. What is the minimum load resistance NE5532 needs so that is not overloaded? My power supply is DC 12-0-12 if that matters.
Thanks and Regards,
WA

Its good down to about 500 ohms, there is a slight increase in distortion, but not normally anything to worry about. Some opamps have dramatically rising distortion for heavier loads than 2k, and 2k is the de-facto standard that most opamps will happily drive.
Being able to drive low impedances like 500R is very useful for low noise circuitry where you want to keep resistances low for lower Johnson noise.

That's a light load, should be no problem at all.Jan,
The opamp drives 2 other opamps something like as shown in the diagram.
Thanks
Why are you squashing the AC in that circuit? The output will basically be the DC input except for extremely low frequency signals.
Can you disclose the application?

Jan,
Its a first order low pass filter. I hav'nt shown the exact component values but the topology is exact.

For a low-pass filter with such a low cutoff frequency I would choose a precision opamp with a good DC precision.
