Hi brunogiovs
What is it you want to improve over the MW16?
Distortion, directivity, spl level?
If you are running active, I do not understand the sensivity requirement ... unless you have a very low power tube amp .....
As stated by xrk971 and TMM, the Satori is one of the best units around. Do you have measurements to look at to ensure correct freq response. What is the tweeter? Order and freq for xover?
To my knowledge it is a very close cousin to the MW16 which is used in the most expensive Wilson Audio speakers .... not sure that is a reccomendation in itself, but I think it counts for something.
Another choise could be the new MW19 .... the designer of the unit says it sounds more smooth than the MW16 .... but it might require a bit lower xover point ... for sure this unit will be able to hand out any needed spl level for a mid driver 😉

Hello Baldin.
I'm looking reduction on distortion .. around ~1.2khz MW16 has some 1% 2nd order distortion .. I know that 2nd order distortion is "warm" distortion.
And also a midbass used a midrange looked a waste. so I'm looking for a mid to possible replace it.
Right now I have Dayton PT2C-8 at 3khz. the setup is sounding really good.
Thanks
1. If it sounds really good, then why change. (yes the Satori has a bit of a 2nd order harmonic around 1.2 kHz, but otherwise it is almost spotless)
2. At this quality level, look for room acoustics first (if freq response measurement gated is near perfect) ..... e.g. I have my speaker quite close to the side walls and the first reflections really made the sound harsh .... corrected with diffusors ...
3. Have you checked overall freq response? When we talk active, is it digital? Though it is an active filter you of course have to compensate for baffle step and any anomaly in any of the drivers response + do time alignment ....
4. If all above is perfect, I would sooner upgrade the Dayton tweeter than the Satori
But that is just my 2 cent
Best regards Baldin 😉

Anyone have polar plots for the B&C 6MD38? 15-30-45 degrees?
I don't have my Polars anymore but I can recall it holding pattern control out to 4khz on a flat baffle.
See below for Zaphs published measurements
Zaph|Audio
Not sure why everyone is recommending 89-90db drivers as if baffle step isn't a concern between 1khz and 300hz?.
The only non pro viable option I can think of would be two of the Scanspeak 10F on a wide baffle to reduce step losses but that's $50 above budget.
I'm looking reduction on distortion
ATC SM75-150 gets you very low distortion and will work from 400 Hz upwards. And it costs an arm and a leg (and even more if you want the "super" version, which has a stronger motor than the "standard").
