Hmm, this just takes me to the 5th page 🙁 Anyway, thinking this is the one he wants ............ from here
If you post the number (in the thread or by PM) and tell me if you're looking for a thread, a post or an attachment, I'll try to find it..How do I link to something previously uploaded knowing only thread number but not title?
As the forum is set up to allow members to choose the number of posts they see on each page, this link will fail for members who have different settings to yourself. (Sorry this information is not easier to find)
A consistent link will be found by right clicking any post number and copying the link.

1) Thanks everyone for all the work
2) Apology for causing it
Couple more things:
Old thread beating-up similar topic:
https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/phase-plug.192215/
Better thread with multiple posts loaded with much relevant goodness by the distinguised WHG including handy link to Oclee-Brown thesis:

Honestly, this stuff is outta my league anymore even if I could ever hang with all of it but what I recall is that the cues to a two-annulus approach were buried in there somewhere. One for a mode across the cap and the other I've forgotten. Just searching for Oclee-Brown here will likely kick-up the KEF thing and the patents, too. FWIW.

Is there a 15” driver you recommend for a FLH?The concept of a cone driver operating in a FLH with around 2:1 to 3:1 compression ratio will usually yield hifi worthy results with a healthy efficiency gain if the driver is capable of sufficient midrange extension. There are a few drivers I prefer for this application, which are the B&C 8PE21, 12PE32 and 12MH32. These are IMO the best sounding, most reasonably priced and easily available drivers for the job.
The expo-reflex design can be tricky to get flat response from. Balancing out the FR between both parts of the desogn to yield the best efficiency and linearity without ending up with annoying resonances from the reflex compartment isn't easy. Very often over-dampening the back reflex enclosure is necessary to make it all sound clean and you're trading efficiency for linearity. If you get it right, it can sound better than some higher efficiency direct radiating designs which more often than not sound rough and fatiquing, even at low levels.
I wish there was more reliable simulation available on expo-reflex cabs. I'm sure hornresp can do a decent job, but there are so many small factors which usually add up to large variables that can't be factored into the sims.
@gac800 it depends on your intended bandwidth. Generally any low Q, low Mms, high BL, low Le driver is a good candidate, but this type of driver often has considerable cone breakup due to the lightweight, under dampened cone.
The B&C 15PZB100, 15NDL76 and15PLB76 are all good drivers. On the cheap, the Eminence Delta Pro 15 is pretty nice. Beyma and Faital are also good choices, as many of their low Qts drivers are optimized for horn loading.

Electrovoice EVM15L or 15B were used in Edgars midbass horns. I run a similar DIY pair at home. There are versions by Oberton that looks good.Is there a 15” driver you recommend for a FLH?
