Hmm, if the frames are as fragile as the older models, then highly recommend mounting them to small sub/supra-baffles, which does double duty stiffening the baffle around the driver.

Will consider that, thanks GM, but for now Ive gone with .75” bb ply. After routing for flush fit there is still .5” behind the driver.

As long as you do not overtighten the mounting screws the baskets are not that fragile.

will provide link when I finalize build and take photos. I do believe "simple two way A12bw + A7p" resides on the "Planet 10" section of diyaudio. But there is a similar thread in "Full Range" that features the same drivers in a two way but build with side vents.
