First I have to build the mini sub, as nothing I do gets the bass I want. With the Realistic 1011A I can get some good low end bass by using an equalizer app "Bass boost and EQ" with bass boost at max and 60HZ slider pushed all the way up. There are two problems with this - there is not enough power from my small TEA 2025 amp to generate sufficient sound (although a laptop will output more power than a tab or phone from its speaker mini rca output) , so this method is out. Fixing a coil in series helps, I will attempt to fix two coils and see and then build the box).
I will be working with existing speakers before buying new ones.

Testing with the 1011A was promising, the box design posted earlier should form the basis of the enclosure. Enough power if it is the balance of power is altered in favour of the woofer.
