Mez has unity gain. I want to play with F5v3. Is it ok, or i have to have between a pre (whammy?)
The power amp has about 22dB of voltage gain, right? That's high enough. If your speakers are not particularly insensitive, unity line level gain will suffice with digital sources of about 2V output in the context of such a gain structure system.

You could use 6-10dB of extra line gain for a 300mV phono if your listening space is big but that depends on listening habits and record cuts also. You could make a test with a volume pot only, which is unity gain, before deciding.

Mez is great with F5V3T. Gain on your speakers is ok for the bulk of music sources too. Which one is your phono?
Diy with 500mv. I am planning to finishing your phono with teabag. So i thing i would not have a problem ?

Mine is 300mV consumer output level standard. To cover all those different sources in good dynamic even with some quiet records and 89dB speakers better use a times two gain preamp (6dB) or just put a x2 gain circuit/transformer at the output of the phono inside its box and use a unity gain line preamp like the Mez.

That's another philosophy circuit with AC input coupling, an op-amp, and a headphones capable discrete output stage, but yes you can easily set its gain as needed with two resistors ratio.

The pot's value is not technically limited. It is my preference. Maybe it also depends on the quality of the pots I originally tested. With 50k pot use 500k or higher parallel input resistors in place of the 220k ones.

Can I run an op amp off the existing 10v rails on the mezmarise board. opa 1692 650 µA per Channel. Using the input relays to have a gain position on the input rotary, for each input. Thus accommodating the rare occasion my system requires more gain without permanently introducing another stage.
