I have been using the eBay DACT stepped attenuators in my preamps. I think they work well and sound better than a pot.

I agree,
I’ve used several of them in my projects. They are very quiet, no clicks or pops changing volume. I just got done replacing the pot in my Aksa Lender preamp with a 50K Dact type🙂

Hi JP,
Is this the same as this item? Or same footprint?
I bought this but the click detents between each volume setting is so rough - requires a lot of force to turn that I have not bothered to install it yet. I’m sure mine is a fake Alps though.

@X, stepper fits standard ALPS pot (2 additional holes).



Spending the day with vias!
Silkscreen after dinner.
Then DRC and ERC.
Perhaps, late this night first 3D view with enclosure?

Here the preamplifier (or HPA, 4p. dedicated connector to use). I´m using HIFI2000 GX343 enclosure (3mm front --> 27 EUR).


I´ll finish data set so that X could check precisely.
