it is still audio, not dialysis equipment
what exquisite safety and environmental standards PL gear need to comply with, knowing tons of utter drek sold all around the world, supposedly having all stickers?

There are so many amplifiers over 70W on the EU market from manufacturers of all around the world. I could bet about 90% of them use classic power supply arrangement: big transformer, bridge rectifier, large capacitors. That means high chance for not complying the mentioned regulation. Why they are tolerated in EU? Why should PL be exception?Yes, there most definitely is! Since Pass Labs is selling to EU, they must comply with CE regulations.
ANY person has to right to ask for these documents, any manufacturer has the obligation to show these to any customer.
In this case, the topic is even about an amplifier in Germany.
Can't get any more on-topic then that!!
They can also even easily share that information here on the forum.
But it's kind of a strange world, apparently people care more about a few percent of distortion/power instead of the fact of the product is even compliant with certain regulations?
I totally understand that for a DIY amplifier, but for a production amplifier with a certain price-tag?
Now what if one buys a nice A class 10 Euro bottle of Pass Zinfandel (bottled by papa) and it contains 0.6 liter and not the 0.75 liter that the label says!?
Defense? Denial? “Yeah but it are the best 0.6 liter” etc. ? “The glass of the bottle is premium”? “The cork is made of exquisite Portugese selected cork trees”? “One should drink a glass of water with the wine”? “Your life does not depend on wine”? “It is 0.6 californian liters”? “You guys don’t know how to measure contents”? “Other wines have only 0.7 liter”?
Herd behavior.

as far as I'm concerned, Pa have all rights to write 1M of PMPO Watts on his amp and sell it for 1M for all Worlds suckers
rest of his smaller amps - still bough by ppl who do it wisely

I doubt you would attract any. Your "marketing" is, well, let's say lacking.Pa fan's wisdom...are all His fans taken? My wallet needs some of them too.
And what this thought experiment got to do with OP? He bought a second hand opened bottle of Zinfandel and found only 0.6l left. Now what if one buys a nice A class 10 Euro bottle of Pass Zinfandel (bottled by papa) and it contains 0.6 liter and not the 0.75 liter that the label says!?

True , but it can be proven technically and legally if the bottle was even full when new very easily! And what this thought experiment got to do with OP? He bought a second hand opened bottle of Zinfandel and found only 0.6l left.
I don't sell anything here....I doubt you would attract any. Your "marketing" is, well, let's say lacking.
People that seem to care deeply, but won't make any real effort to find the truth. Just a different herd. Now what if one buys a nice A class 10 Euro bottle of Pass Zinfandel (bottled by papa) and it contains 0.6 liter and not the 0.75 liter that the label says!?

What if a wine distributor from the EU approached a California winemaker. What if the distributor stated something to the effect of...
I think people in the EU would like your wine. You're not familiar with how to market, distribute, and deal with the complexities of wine compliance outside of the USA. You also probably don't want to hire people with that knowledge or take on the risk. I have extensive experience importing wines from the USA into the EU. So, I think it would be beneficial to us both were I to import and distribute your product in the EU. I'll take legal possession of the product in the USA and/or just before it is imported into any alternate jurisdiction outside of the USA. Therefore my company is responsible for all compliance outside the USA. Your company doesn't even need to have a legal presence in the countries into which I will distribute the product. My team will let you know if you need to alter the product or labeling in any way in order to meet regulations. We know Americans can't even handle a simple metric conversion. I'll spell it out for ya real simple there pardner. 😉
Many companies have similar arrangements with overseas distributors. I have no idea if the amplifiers in question are distributed under a similar arrangement, but it seems plausible or possibly even highly likely.
One expert has stated that the manufacturer must provide the information upon request. To my knowledge, they've made no such request, perhaps because they think that it's easier to get official results posted to a public internet forum through a random inquiry that they're hoping the namesake of a company may address. Perhaps they're really not interested in the actual results. I don't know.
Those that truly care and maybe live in relevant jurisdictions seem have multiple avenues to get the results for the product line being discussed and many others, if they so choose. I'm waiting to see the the vast conspiracy to import and/or sell non-compliant amplifiers in the EU unfold. Who will our hero be that will finally expose this treachery? Who are the co-conspirators in this vast network of deceit?
In all seriousness... I have to joke because the reality of the situation is so absurd. If you want the information, go get it.
I still have no horse in the race. I still have no opinion on the compliance of the amplifiers in question. I've seen numerous posts re: how it should be possible get the information as a consumer, and yet no one has produced it. If companies have been negligent in their compliance requirements, I'm sure people would like to know.
-Emphasis added is mine -True , but it can be proven technically and legally if the bottle was even full when new very easily!
Excellent! Would you please do so? I beg you.
I think your hopes for personal gratification through legal punishment are vane. If you buy a new product and it doesn't meet specification you can only use your warranty and ask repair. Nothing else.True , but it can be proven technically and legally if the bottle was even full when new very easily!
I didn't make any personal attack to anyone. If you can't read properly go to school! This is not my complaint, I have no product of Mr Pass, I don't sell anything on diyaudio , nor I do sell any audio product anywhere, except repaired vintage radios in a second hand shop.
And NO, anyone in the EU can go to a buyer's protection authority and ask for legal inquiry into the quality of a product.Metrologic bulletins can be issued for free at the State's request if it's the case.If the issue is found to be true, that can lead straight to a court of law where the State itself will take legal action against any private manufacturer . If not, the guy who complained will pay for the cost of the metrologic bulletin. This action can lead to a company being completely forbiden to sell anything in that country for a period of time until the product sales conformity is achieved, fine is paid and the plaintif is vindicated. Then the case can be reffered to an EU authority who can prevent those product from entering the entire EU area. Fines can be applied to the seller if found guilty at any time by the State itself then by the EU authorities too .You don't wanna know how many they are once they are triggered... The plaintif will only pay for the metrologic legal inquiry if found wrong.

Have you seen any opinion paid on electronics forums? I can't wait being offered 1 penny for that!Except your opinion.
By that logic if somebody buys Dacia Sandero and finds it's fuel consumption is 6l/100km instead specified 4.9 will regulators ban Dacia from the market?I didn't make any personal attack to anyone. If you can't read properly go to school! If the tests show that particular model has no technical problems yet it still measures wrong , an order to test several other new vehicles can be issued and a new Dieselgate could simply destroy the company after fines will need to be paid!
Wolkswagen paid 30 BILLION dollars in fines and retributions...

It feels like some of you have no grasp of the reality when it comes to what a judge order can do to a company...and Pass Labs is no Wolkswagen...while some of PL amplifiers sell for more than a Wolkswagen car!
