Maya200

Does anyone now what happened to my Maya? Had a multi room amp that just died on me the circuit breaker shut off, but on another circuit that the Maya was connected to did not break. Just my Maya taking the punishment. Is it possible to fix this?

It will blow when a positive or negative DC current is inserted into the RCA ground at the input. This could happen during a connection error, or very likely that a balanced line was connected to the single ended input of the Maya. Hopefully there will be no other damage other than Rg!

Hugh

Finally ready , big test in my attic will follow . Heavy beast for shure.

I think that the small transistors and zener burned out so quickly that it didn't matter. It probably cut off the signal to the speakers even before I could react. So the amp was still kinda fail safe. No harm done, besides a spike in my blood pressure 😅

Be the best you can be ... this is the Maya mk4 chassis in all its glory. I have had some practice with this as this is my 5th chassis build on this model, so on each version one gets to update issues and upgrade looks and functionality. This is a "tight" fit on all components but i managed to keep it clean. The latest GK1+Lifeforce build was a bigger challenge and i learned a lot from that. So this seems a walk in the park compared to that.
For now, i have the chassis assembled, absorption feet, handles on, plugs and connectors fitted, LED wiring, toroids mounted and i even managed to fit a Felix Power Conditioner on the AC input ( PCB by FOLSOM). The AC receptacle has 2x -fuses 10A, plus the Felix also has a 10A fuse so quite well protected.

I am now waiting for the modules from Hugh, to make it sing ( for now it only emits a quiet and relaxing sound of silence 🥷 ) Best one i have heard though 😆
Also going to start working on the input and output cabling , got to search my inventory for what its available. Never know what's in stock.

I leave you with the current build..... gotta love the Man ...always pay tribute !
