Hi.
According to the Dutch Audio Classics website, the Marantz CD65 Gold has a TDA1541 S1 DAC chip. ( NOTE -Not the TDA1541A )
On another thread, a member has posted that his Marantz CD94 also has a TDA1541 S1.
And in a Mission PCM7000.
I have a CD273 which has one too.!!
If anyone has one of these players, can you check to see if it also has this chip and post a photo?
Thanks.
Andy

Marantz CD-94 on thevintageknob.org
I don't own them, but I modified few CD94 MKII machines. Each had a 1541A S1 X 2 DAC combo. I also remember from my TDA1541 DAC days that "plain vanilla" 1541A DAC chips all sounded different.... this was easily noticeable. However, I was unable to find a single 1541A chip that sounded as good as 1541A S1's I found in 94MKII. I still have around 6-7 plain 1541A's... and one in S1 flavor.
