Hey, do you have a hidden camera behind my mirror?
Edit: That's my brother, not me. I have more hair.

Is that just powered up or does a CD need to be played for the opamps to have a signal through them?

Hi Tom,
If you want to do a 1:1 swap, you need dual channel DIP opamps indeed. If you'd like to experiment a bit, and want the best result, I vote for single channel SMD's on single-to-dual adapters. Also, more and more new good opamp types are only available in SMD these days.

Ray

Which is the best replacement to upgrade the 78M12 and 79M12 regulators beside the 317/337. I have on hand the LM1084-12 and LM2990-12, do u think it will be an improvement or should I go for the LM340T-12?
Seems a bit of a waste of time considering how the regulators are used in the player. Better would be to add additional regulators. It might be a little harder but it will reward you! The type is less important than the number you install and their proximity to the consumer. When you've done it like this then you can better appreciate improved regs - IMO.
Thanks all for your advice (so far, you know I'll need more soon don't you...)
I have ordered and will stick with the LM4562's, I'm not going to be modifying to the extent you guys have (will aslo be fitting them in my Cambridge amp).
I will fit them as soon as they arrive after that it'll be a Kwak Clock 7 after which I probably will not do any further mods (I say that now......but reserve the right to change my mind)
Tom
P.S you guys recomend any speakers? I only have a budget of £100 and am on the look out for some secondhand ones, I'm leaning towards B&W (602, P4....)or Monitor Audio (Silver 5i or 8i's) if I'm lucky enough to bag a bargain. PM me rather than add to the thread off topic.

I'm an ATC fan but I doubt you will find any at that price (not very helpful that was it lol). B&W always do decent speakers, I do feel their tweeter in the lower models are a little poor though.
Oh and you will do more mods!!
