430kg!!! I'll say no more. I've been in an Elise with just 140bhp and 600kg or so and that wasn't exactly slow...
Fisher Fury, IRS so unequal wishbones all round with coilovers- inboard in front; 4pots, Quaife Diff, all good stuff. Does about 11mph/1000rpm in 6th, gets there very quickly and is an utter hoot - despite the weigh disparity the short gearing and monstrous / predictable grip means one can get stuck behind sports bikes on winding B roads 🙂
Somebody switched channels!!! Now we're watching Top Gear??? Well...my Rover 214SI is old and slow but it gets my Marantz 67' to the post office in record time. Do my lap times qualify me? Just pulling your legs...those were your legs right?
That's a point of view. From here it's fast and modern!Rover 214SI is old and slow
Ps good luck finding an Elise under 800kg Simon. Which is why iwent the utter-nutter route.
I was told 600kg, I'm not looking to buy one 😉
Prefer engines with some torque anyway!
edit: good old Wikipedia says 725-750 so maybe we're both wrong hehe

It'd be a bit more than that if I was sat in it!!! The beer and pies appears to have taken more of a hold on me than I would like........ 😉I was told 600kg
This thread won't die until the last 63 & 67 are in land-fills.
Actually even then the veterans will still gather to talk about the old days!

These players will be talked about for a long time to come especially the KI. And the ones that are still about in a long time will probably all be modded

No way mine is going into land fill! I'll donate it to the nursing home, with the proviso that someone keep following this thread when I can't.
The Lexan is on its way from (bloody expensive) Plastic Store UK. So in a fairly short time the cosmetic make-over will be ready to spring on an unsuspecting world.

Hi all can any one tell me if adding an external power supply would make me loose bass as i have done this mod on my 67 se. It sounds smoother better deeper sound stage but less dynamic and less bass any help would be great
I got up a while ago and stepped bare foot into a pile of dog poo on the carpet, so I'm not in a good mood and my comment might not be described as helpfull but...I have a bunch of power regs and several added transformers and the bass has not improved much. The dynamics have, to a reasonable extent. While this is not exactly the same as an external power supply; it would be the internal version, minus a bank of caps. I think you there are limits which have to be accepted. The benefits you are beginning to hear will compensate.
