You can get better but then you're getting to 3 times the price. For about £10 per cap, you can use audio upgrades SI caps. They are also 22,000uF but are even lower ESR. I have about 12 of them in my player now 🙂 It's def worth it if you're looking push the player even further!!

Great! I read about these on another forum, as a very nice addition to
the Eastern Electric Minimax DAC. Apparently they provide a version already installed on the Brown Dog adapter if I understand correctly.

see how they perform .A ki ive got puzzles me skips on track 1 or 2 nothing after that tried loads of other lasers cleaned the spindle amd re greased wierd one.

Strange one Alan. You could try another ribbon. They can cause all sorts of weird problems. Better still, hard wire it.
Hard wiring usually gets rid of all these problems. Bad gnd etc on the ribbon cause no end of reading & tracking errors. Also check R107 for 5V, sometimes this res goes a little high dropping the V after it too much + check the rubber mounts the traverse sits on as these can split and cause the traverse to sit slightly off.
